Good Counsel College has obtained funding to implement the eSmart schools program, supported by the Alannah & Madeline Foundation.
The focus of the program is around cyber safety, and aims to educate staff, students and parents about the dangers of the online world, in addition to providing practical strategies to support young people.
This workshop will provide insight into the online worlds of young people including the latest trends, risks and research, and include a strong focus on social media. It also focuses on advice parents can use to help manage a child’s life online.
Due to continuing restrictions regarding travel and on-campus presentations, the foundation is unable to provide face-to-face delivery; however, in conjunction with the College, they are offering a Zoom session on Wednesday, 19th August at 7pm.
Please see the attached flyer for further information on the ‘Parenting in a Digital World’ session. The attached flyer also provides a QR code for parents to submit questions that the presenter will address on the night of the session.
We strongly encourage parents and carers to avail themselves of this opportunity.
